Why join Raíces?
Raices offers the following support services to students:
- Join a network of Raíces Scholars
- Access Raíces Courses and Academic Counseling
- Receive College Advising and Guidance
- Connect with our peer advocates
- Access to a study space, free printing, and school supplies
- Get support with class registration
- Participate in academic, cultural, community, and career events
Who can join?
ALL SBCC students are welcome to join ¡Raíces: First Year and Beyond! There are no
eligibility requirements, such as age, ethnicity, language, ability, financial or
legal status, or grades.
Want to learn more before joining?
Prospective, New, Returning and Continuing SBCC students can learn more about Raíces by submitting our Student Interest Form.
Raíces Program Commitments
Raíces Scholars are encouraged to participate in the program by engaging in the following:
- Enroll in Raíces course(s) if they follow your education plan.
- Attend Raíces sponsored events.
- Meet with a Raíces Academic Counselor.
