Academic Technology Support

What We Do

The Instructional Lab Support unit is responsible for the installation, maintenance and support of the instructional computer lab environment. This includes technical support for desktop computers, application servers, software trouble-shooting, hardware trouble-shooting, application configuration, desktop security, wireless access, and user access to a variety of lab systems.

This unit provides support for systems functioning within the lab environment and functions as liaison between technical lab staff, the IT Department and the academic departments utilizing instructional labs. Additionally, this unit provides training of lab operations to staff members from other departments that assist with the daily operations of an individual lab.

The Distance Education Support unit is responsible for the centralized support for students accessing online resources. The support desk coordinated by this unit, tracks support calls from students needing technical assistance with Pipeline and Canvas and other campus-supported systems. Support requests received by email, support form, and phone are recorded via a ticketing system.  Additionally, support is offered on campus at the I.T. User Support Office, second floor of the Administration building.
